Hello Gurls,
Seven years ago in 2007 I "peeked" out of the CD closet. I had a fabulous makeover at TG Miss in Racine (I've had several since then and they were even better) and looked out at a new (at least to me) world. Also, seven years ago I joined this site.
During the last few years, I've come all the way out of the CD closet dressed and made up to the nines. I've made friends. I shop regularly. I go to salons. I even party occasionally.
It's still a little scary. But, I can't wait to see what the next seven years bring.
THANKS to everyone that has been a friend and so supportive. I look forward to many new friends.
June of 2018 update: WOW! Four years have gone by since my last update. The only major change (other than being 60 now... with few wrinkles btw) is my own hair is now similar to the wig in my picture, although curlier and I have a standing salon appointment every other week where I am accepted as "one of the girls". I guess another major change is that I have now pretty much given up on ever finding anyone to share my life with. Oh well!!!! Mikki
